Pitch Deck Teardown LIVE: A Real VC Reviews a Real Founder's Deck, Isaac Kato, Two Ravens VC

Most pitch deck advice is generic. This isn't.

For one hour, you'll watch a seasoned VC open up a real founder's actual pitch deck - slide by slide - and react the way he would in a real partner meeting. No hypotheticals, no polished "after" version. Just an honest, live teardown of a deck that's out in the world right now.

The founder: Sissi Wang, founder of Brokrly by Nestly Inc., is building an AI-powered copilot for real estate brokers and agents — automating the marketing and admin busywork so agents can focus on clients. She's graciously opened up her own deck so the rest of us can learn from a real, in-the-arena pitch.

The VC: Isaac Kato is a 3x founder with 3 exits who has raised over $200M in capital, and has spent two decades as an early-stage investor. He's now Founding General Partner of Two Ravens, a pre-seed and early-seed firm backing extraordinary founders from non-obvious backgrounds. Before Two Ravens he led the Techstars Seattle and Filecoin Accelerators (investing in 44 teams), was President of Mighty AI (acquired by Uber), and co-founded Verne Global (a $320M exit). He's seen thousands of decks from both sides of the table.

What you'll get:

  • A live, slide-by-slide review of a real seed-stage deck
  • What a VC actually looks for - and what makes them lose interest
  • The difference between a slide that "works" and one that raises questions
  • Open Q&A: bring your own deck questions and pitch challenges

Whether you're actively fundraising, refining your story, or just want to understand how investors really read a deck, this is a rare look behind the curtain.

Isaac Kato
General Partner and Founder. Two Ravens VC.
Isaac is a 3x serial entrepreneur with 3 exits and have raised $200M in capital. He's also been an early stage investor for roughly two decades. Isaac recently launched Two Ravens, a pre-seed and early seed VC firm that invests in extraordinary founders from non-obvious backgrounds.

Before Two Ravens, he led the Techstars Seattle and Filecoin Techstars Accelerators, where he had the pleasure of investing in 44 founding teams, including folks like Twelve Labs, MD Ally, Olive Technologies, Retrocausal, Bild, The Folklore, Proxi, Rexby, Transcrypts, and many others who have gone on to build terrific early-stage tech companies and raise a significant amount of follow-on capital.

Immediately prior to Techstars, Isaac served as President of Mighty AI, a training data platform and service company which provided high quality training data to autonomous vehicle developers and other enterprises in the computer vision space. The company was acquired by Uber in July, 2019. Before that, he co-founded and led two enterprise technology companies; one was successfully acquired, and the other is a leader in the global data center business. For 10 years, Isaac served as Co-Founder, CFO, and EVP of Verne Global, an international growth stage green data center business based in the UK with operations in Iceland. At Verne, he conceived the business, raised $200M+ of equity and debt capital, built the team, and managed several functions of the company.

Also, he has 12+ years of experience as a venture capital, growth equity, and angel technology investor with General Catalyst Partners and Summit Partners. In those roles, he sourced, led, structured, and negotiated several investments, and served as a Director on multiple boards. Isaac has an extensive network of technology investors and entrepreneurs with concentrations in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Boston, and London. He is also an angel investor in early-stage technology startups.
