Jonathan Azoff is Co-Founder and General Partner at SNØCAP, a deeptech venture capital firm run by engineers. SNØCAP backs companies developing the materials, molecules, and machines that enable modern industry — investing in scientific breakthroughs that make products cheaper or more effective than what they replace.
What SNØCAP looks for:
- Stage: Pre-Seed and Seed (first round of institutional capital)
- Check size: Up to $250K (Fund 1), up to $1.5M (Fund 2)
- Investment Areas: Scientific breakthroughs in known supply chains where cost reductions come from lower energy use, better materials, or more sustainable production
Before SNØCAP, Jonathan spent 20 years in Silicon Valley building venture-backed businesses with three exits. He's also board president of Sweet Farm (a climate tech incubator), inaugural sponsor of the Climate Film Festival, and a key advisor to the 9Zero Climate Innovation Hub.
